
This is something I hear on a regular basis when speaking to business owners about paid advertising.
"I've tried that before, spent tens of thousands of dollars and barely got any results"
The reality is, running ads is only one part to getting good results.
Let me explain.
I've been helping businesses with their paid advertising for a while now, Meta, Google, LinkedIn, you name it, probably done it.
But every time I look at their ad accounts, offers, creatives, and results, I see exactly why they got barely any results.
It's not because the ads are weak (sometimes they are).
It's because they're missing a few key things that will turn that click into a paying customer.
It always comes down to a few things, these are the main 5 I see:
1️⃣ They're sending people to their home page, expecting them to just work it out and convert.
2️⃣ They don't have a offer that gives that person a reason buy or get in touch.
3️⃣ They don't have their conversion tracking set up properly, so, if someone buys, or enquires, they DON'T send that event back to the advertising platform, so the algorithm doesn't know who and what converts, meaning it can't optimise for more of what works.
4️⃣ No automated email/sms confirming you've received their enquiry and will be in touch.
5️⃣ Little to no follow up after not being able to reach them via email or phone.
Get these and a few other things right and I guarantee paid advertising will make you more than you spend.
